D7 | DESIGN PROPOSAL - THE RESPONSE

2 weeks

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Team Assignment

Create a multi-media (include study model/prototypes, video, etc), contextual proposal specific to a competitive project call offering [your/your firm's] design services.

This is the Response to the Call for Proposals or RFEI (Request for Expressions of Interest).

The client may receive hundreds of submissions in which they will need to determine which of them have the "qualifications" to achieve the requested work, and which firms have the "vision" they believe aligns with their goals.

At this stage, firms may commit considerable resources in order to reach a finalist, ie. short-list. Firms that reach the short-list will then "go all in" on their efforts and investment to Win the project, which may be of substantial financial value or a high profile contract, or both. Depending on a variety of factors, but some firms may spend six figures. The short-list may be narrowed to just a few firms; the fewer competitors at this point, the more the firm will invest to win the contract.

Remember, DESIGN it!

How many senses can we engage on this challenge?

Ask, what if it did...(hint: more)?
