Vegetation comes in a variety of leaf shapes, densities, and textures. Using a range of variation in shapes and patterns will greatly improve your sketches and create more interest in your work.

TUTORIALS & HOW-TO GUIDES

When sketching trees and plants, don't try to draw every detail, leave a lot to the imagination. There's a great deal of power in suggestion. Practice, and it'll get easier.

Using a chisel-tip graphite pencil or charcoal stick can produce nice variation of thick and thin strokes, and suggestion of texture.

* Estimate only. See instructor and calendar for specific due dates. Summer Session schedule is more compressed with one week equal to approximately two and half semester weeks.
